The Frog Log brand is a durable product. We had ordered one after seeing it advertised and it lasted several years. I decided to be cheap and ordered another brand and it lasted one year. Now I have two of them for each end of the pool. They are worth the money and we no longer find critters in the pool.
We've been using Frog Logs since 2001 when we had our pool put in.
Before Frog Logs we were constantly fishing dead chipmunks and other critters out of our pool. Since using Frog Logs no dead critters. That's a win!
We upgrade our Frog Logs every couple years. We've had the original and the camo. I highly recommend them.
We just put a pond with a waterfall in our backyard, and I got two FrogLogs for it. The first night the pond was up and running we had at least two toads come to visit. The second night we saw one sitting on one of the FrogLogs, and we've been toad central ever since! We haven't had any drownings so far, and the FrogLogs have helped make our pond the cool place for all the neighborhood toads to hang out.
Great addition to our pool. It definitely works. We've gone out at night and seen toads sitting on the log and then a frog free pool in the morning. I still occasionally find a few dead frogs in the skimmer, sadly. I would highly recommend because it has cut back on a ton of frog deaths.
So glad FrogLogs exist. We used to find dead frogs and chipmunks in our pool and that has pretty much ended. Nothing sadder than seeing a little critter struggling to climb out of the pool and unable to do it. I used run out with a net to try to rescue them. Unfortunately I wasn’t always around.
This was my second order of the original frog logs. They have been in the hot sun year round for 2 years before replacing with new ones. I check our filter every morning for frogs. I don’t see hardly any frogs since purchasing these. I’ve even seen bees safely drinking from our pool while sitting on a frog leg. Wonderful product to help the animals from drowning.
