We've been using the ORIGINAL FrogLog for over 5 years, and there's no way to estimate the number of wildlife lives that have benefited from its presence in our pool. Before we found the Original FrogLog, I was finding animals like bullfrogs, toads, baby turtles, baby rabbits, mice, voles, and songbirds dead or drowning in our pool, one or two a day, and then one day, 22 toads and frogs on the same day. That was the day I found our first Original FrogLog, and we bought two. The Original FrogLog provides the most economical and efficient means to prevent the deaths of these animals, and helps keep our pool environment healthier for people. We just purchased our second pair, they last a long time, too, with excellent quality, workmanship and materials. 10/10 recommend the ORIGINAL FrogLog, not the cheaper knock-offs.
The fabric that encases the float degrades in sunlight. Suggest research into a more sun tolerant fabric.
The FrogLog is an ingenious design and easy to put together. Our pool is 12 feet by 26 feet. I have two, one sits just upstream of the filter and the other is on the opposite side. I bought them because earlier this summer I fished a chipmunk out of the pool. It was exhausted and soaked, and it took about 20 minutes to recover and scuttle away. I started looking for solutions and found the FrogLog. I don't know if ours have saved any animals, but I have not found any in the pool since we put them in place. I wish we had had them for the 25 years we have lived here. They might have saved some chipmunks, frogs, and moles. It gives you peace of mind that your pool is not harming the local small wildlife. If you are thinking about buying one, you should go ahead!
I took to the web in search of a way to save little critters that reach their demise in our pool and I found Frog Log. I bought four of these for our pool and placed them all around. They have definitely helped though there is the occasional frog that will end up in the skimmer but this is far and few between now. I had a problem with one of the bladder inserts and reached out to Frog Log and he responded very quick and had his manufacturer send me a new one. I have noticed there are products like the original on amazon and other sites for less money but I want quality and also want to support the maker of the idea so I order from Frog Log site itself. Thank you for making a product to help save little creature lives because it hurts my heart when I see them dead in the skimmers.
I had bought a Original FrogLog years ago and also had picked up a knock off version. No surprise the Original FrogLog still was in great shape,and the knockoff trashed. So I bought two more of the Original FrogLog
Only buy this original frog log....it will last and works great. I haven't woke up to anything dead in my pool this Summer!
