The Original FrogLog: Ready to Use

I have several Frog Logs and must say they are much better than the copy cats -- I'd like to point out a few features that make Frog Logs better.   

Frog Log does not ride high out of the water (the 'wall" from the skirt to the log surface is not challenging - so things that find it dont have to climb as high to get out of the water onto the log). I think that whatever climbs up onto the Frog Log is tired and 'grateful' by the time they find one.  

Closure for the bladder float is constructed with the opening DOWN in the water and the velcro closure goes almost all the way across the opening leaving no inviting gap.  The copy cats have a closure facing up out of the water with gaps at either end of the velcro and small critters (I save beetles and spiders as well as frogs / toads/ mice etc) see the dark gap opening and crawl in thinking it safe - only to be trapped inside between the bladder and the cover.  SO DEPRESSING.   Frog Logs are constructed so that this particular thing does not happen - a much happier outcome.

Side note in case helpful.... I turn off the filter / skimmer pump for the pool at night so the water is calm and turn it on every morning after I have skimmed / inspected each of the frog logs.   Algae normally needs sunlight to grow - and so, turning the pump off at night for the water to calm does not seem to be detrimental for the pool clarity at all.  A calm pool surface makes it easier for something small to swim to a Frog Log. 

Anyway - those are the reasons I like Frog Log far better than the copy cats.  Frog Logs are way more effective. and much better made.   I add more logs every year - not because mine need replacing, but because more of them allows me shorten the distance between them and increases the chance something that falls in will be able to find / reach one. 

I took to the web in search of a way to save little critters that reach their demise in our pool and I found Frog Log. I bought four of these for our pool and placed them all around. They have definitely helped though there is the occasional frog that will end up in the skimmer but this is far and few between now. I had a problem with one of the bladder inserts and reached out to Frog Log and he responded very quick and had his manufacturer send me a new one. I have noticed there are products like the original on amazon and other sites for less money but I want quality and also want to support the maker of the idea so I order from Frog Log site itself. Thank you for making a product to help save little creature lives because it hurts my heart when I see them dead in the skimmers.

I had bought a Original FrogLog years ago and also had picked up a knock off version. No surprise the Original FrogLog still was in great shape,and the knockoff trashed. So I bought two more of the Original FrogLog

I purchased 2 Frog Logs for my inground pool and since using the Frog Logs I have not had any animals to retrieve! Frog Logs are excellent and I wish I knew about them years ago. It would upset me to find demised animals so this was a heaven sent purchase!

I had purchased knockoff brands and they disintegrated in my pool.. The original Frog Log is still clean, gorgeous and working well. I won't buy knockoffs again.
