The FrogLog is a unique, effective, and simple to use product that allows small animals to escape swimming pools. It was designed and extensively tested by a wildlife biologist from Maryland (USA). The FrogLog is made of an inflatable floating platform, mesh ramp, and fabric pouch that is filled with 1.5 cups of sand or pea gravel. The pouch sits on the pool deck and holds the FrogLog in place. Assembly takes 5 minutes. The customer provides 1.5 cups of sand or pea gravel or we offer a "Ready to Use" option that includes the sand/pea gravel.

    Not 100%

I have 2 of these in my small pool. I find fewer dead frogs, but still find some :(

    Hi Melanie,
Thanks for reviewing the FrogLog. Here are a few tips for using the FrogLog to get the maximum protection:
    1. Make sure the back of the float is tight to the pool wall. 2. If possible, set your pump and filter to turn off at night when most animals are active. Most pool experts say that the pump only needs to run during daylight hours. 3. If there is a flow to the water circulation, place one FrogLog to intercept the water moving toward the simmer. 4. FrogLogs can be placed in front of the skimmer intake.
Finally, some very small toads/froglogs are highly susceptible to chlorine intoxication so they do not last very long in pool water.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Rich

    Who knew?

We have had frogs in our pool for years. Too often I would find dead ones and have to scoop them out. Since we put two of these in our pool, we have had zero dead frogs. Plus, they clearly enjoy sitting on it.

    I ❤️ FrogLog

We have been purchasing the original FrogLog for several years, and they work so well. Not one thing has drowned in our pool since we started using these.
Thank you for a good product at a fair price.

    Great frog saver

I discovered frog logs a while ago after trying so many methods to ensure frogs did not drown in the pool or wind up in the filter. Well since I started using it for many years, there is no need to try anything else. Thanks.

    Bullfrog on the Frog Log

My husband thought the Frog Log looked like a pretty unlikely rescue ramp until we spotted the frog that kept getting in the skimmers hanging out on the frog beach. I have a photo!

    This is a great invention.

Wondering if you could make one with a longer escape ramp, for a pool which is not filled very high? (Also, my name is Pamela; Juli-Ann is my friend who let me use her credit card to order the Frog Log.)
